Custom cabinets in Brentwood

Brentwood is mostly family houses, plus a busy condo market closer to Wilshire. We design cabinetry around how a household actually uses a house, whether the walls are 1920s plaster or brand new.

Including Brentwood Park, Brentwood Circle, Brentwood Glen, Crestwood Hills and Mandeville Canyon.

A neighborhood of family houses

Brentwood stretches from the flatlands near Wilshire up into the canyons of the Santa Monica Mountains, and the homes change along the way.

Brentwood Park and Brentwood Circle. Between Sunset and San Vicente, Brentwood Park’s wide streets and traffic circles hold large lots with traditional houses, many from the Period Revival years of the 1920s and 1930s: Georgian, Colonial, Tudor and Spanish styles. North of Sunset, Brentwood Circle is a small gated enclave. A lot of these older homes are now being torn down and rebuilt.

Canyon and hillside streets. Mandeville Canyon and Kenter Canyon climb into the hills with larger, more private lots. Crestwood Hills is known for its mid-century modern homes, many designed by A. Quincy Jones.

South of San Vicente. Toward Wilshire and Barrington, Brentwood has a large stock of condos and apartments, along with smaller single-family streets like those in Brentwood Glen near the 405.

Cabinetry for daily family life

The typical Brentwood project is not a showpiece. It is a house where a family cooks most nights, kids do homework at the island and the side door gets used more than the front one. That shapes the design:

  • A working kitchen. A large island with drawers on both sides, a walk-in or cabinet pantry, a coffee and breakfast station out of the main work area, and wipeable finishes that stand up to kids.
  • A real mudroom. Cubbies, hooks, a bench and closed storage near the garage entry, with a spot for shoes, sports gear and charging devices.
  • Laundry that works. Folding counters, hanging space, and storage for detergents above or beside stacked machines.
  • Rooms that adapt. Closets with adjustable rods and shelves, and an office built into a guest room that can change use later.

Remodel or rebuild

In older Brentwood houses, a remodel often means working within the existing structure: plaster walls, original window placement and rooms that were never meant to be open. We design cabinetry to fit those spaces and match the existing trim. When a builder is starting over, we work from the architect’s plans and plan cabinetry with the layout, so kitchens, mudrooms and closets get the walls and rough-ins they need before framing is complete.

For condo owners, we plan compact kitchens and baths carefully: full-height storage, drawers instead of deep base shelves and well-lit interiors. We follow your building’s rules for access and work hours. A condo kitchen can still get the same rift oak, inset doors or panel-ready appliances as a house in Brentwood Park; it just has to be planned more tightly, with appliance sizes, tall pantry units and lighting settled early so nothing is wasted.

Our designer will meet you at the house, measure every room and talk through how your family uses each one, then send drawings and an itemized price for your review.

Brentwood FAQ

Before you call.

Can you match new cabinets to an older Brentwood Park house?

Yes. We look at the door profiles, trim and proportions already in the house and design cabinetry that fits them, typically inset or shaker doors with painted or stained finishes.

My builder is tearing down and starting over. When should we bring you in?

As early as the plans allow. Kitchens, mudrooms and closets planned with the floor plan get the plumbing, outlets and wall space they need, and the builder's schedule can include cabinet delivery from the start.

Do you work on condos south of San Vicente?

Yes. Condo kitchens and baths are smaller, so every inch matters. Most buildings have rules for work hours, elevator use and deliveries, so check with your HOA or building manager and we will follow them.

What about a mid-century house in Crestwood Hills?

Mid-century homes usually call for flat-slab doors, simple pulls and warm wood like walnut or rift oak. We design to respect the original architecture rather than layer a modern style over it.
